Everyone is invited to the table

The big idea.

Cap Table Nation is an infrastructure catalyst for positive change in private capital investment, supporting formal registered private equity and debt, informal capital pools, and donor advised funds, all earmarked for local investment. It’s creating the change our community desperately needs. It’s bringing like-minded people together, forming an alliance, or nation, around doing good.

And it’s starting in Southwest Florida.

Imagine a future where your investments don’t just grow your wealth, but also nurture the communities you call home - your village. Welcome to Cap Table Nation, where local investments fuel community growth and reshape the future of Southwest Florida. Cap Table Nation’s purpose is twofold. The first is to make available investment capital infrastructure tools, reporting, and administrative support so that investors can rely on orderly, accurate, and procedural experiences when choosing to deploy their capital in Southwest Florida. The second is to encourage new and existing venture capital funds to deploy their capital into companies and projects within the six counties of Southwest Florida: Lee, Hendry, Glades, Charlotte, Collier, and Sarasota.

How?

The infrastructure will house the first two private equity and debt funds in all of Southwest Florida: Florida Growth Opportunity Fund, Southwest, and Engage Florida Ventures, Southwest.

Frances Ann Capital Management created these funds, inspired by Collaboratory of Fort Myers, Florida who is the lead investor. Accredited and institutional investors will have the opportunity to invest in operational companies in Southwest Florida with proven customer acquisition strategies. Please see the “Our Funds” page for more information.

Cap Table Nation is the first of its kind. Anywhere. Cap Table Nation puts together 12 infrastructure tools in one project to help venture capital have success in an area where there has traditionally been no venture capital. These tools exist outside of CTN, but this is the first time all 12 have come together in one project.

Focusing on the betterment of the community - virtually every facet, the infrastructure is established to positively impact industries, including agriculture, water quality, tourism, and skilled trade, among many others. With this in place, venture capital has the opportunity to make positive social and financial impact in communities and be an ecosystem gamechanger.

This is just the beginning. Cap Table Nation looks to expand beyond Southwest Florida to other parts of the state and, eventually, nationwide.

Experience, Concept, Creation.

Cap Table Nation is designed by Gingras Global, one of the world's first investor impact fund administrators. Gingras Global has worked in the impact industry, and only the impact industry, for more than ten years, delivering industry-leading expertise and proven solutions that change the game for impact entrepreneurs and investors committed to achieving both positive investment impact and financial success.

Southwest Florida is a treasure trove of business talent and mentorship waiting to be harnessed, but it has not had any type of formal venture capital that is focused on growing companies that will help the area. The region's wealth and success stories, combined with a culture of giving back and a network of resources, create an ideal environment for an infrastructure like Cap Table Nation.

They’re not doing it by themselves. Gingras Global forged Advisory Tables at the level of county, city, and, where appropriate, industry. This strategy ensures that they and their partners deeply understand local initiatives, which ultimately helps achieve a more significant impact and investment effectiveness.

Venture Capital

Venture capital is defined as a form of private equity financing that helps start-ups or companies grow. Eligible companies must be deemed to have high growth potential or have already demonstrated successful growth. Equity helps fast-track, reduces failure rates, and creates room for more debt financing. Less-resourced companies need to build valuations and assets as opposed to surviving, and private equity financing through venture capital helps them do so.

Southwest Florida needs venture capital.

Venture capital is more difficult to raise and set up when there is no previous environment or culture of investing. We are setting up the infrastructure so that venture capital has an easier time deal-sourcing and making it far less expensive to establish and run a fund with gold-standard back-office support. We invite more venture capital to join our nation.
